The defense lost lots of pieces recently (cap issues) & the media can't stop criticizing the lack of WR's. But this regular season juggernaut (13-4) just keeps winning, finishing 2nd in points scored. This offseason they bolstered their "weak-ish" defensive front-7 adding DE's Bosa & Hoecht, then drafting three d-linemen in rounds 2 through 4. While better in the regular season the defense allows over 30 points a game in the playoffs. B/L ranks this defense #3 for 2025. Add the AFC's top offense. We bet a Bills/Rams Super Bowl at 53-1.

Good work here (mostly) following the "Parcells rebuild". 1. get a coach, check, 2. build an o-line, well..., 3) get a QB, check, 4. get a top WR (Diggs), check, 5. get pass rushers (Williams, Landry, Chaisson). We were one of few who predicted Maye's ascent & they nailed 4 of these 5 pieces. they missed the o-line memo as PFF ranks them 29th & we think the 34-year old T Moses (Jets) & C Bradberry (prone to getting bolled over) adds will fail. The offense will be better, but the defense gets bottom 5 grades where Vrabel will need time to fix it. Headed upward.

Injury plagued QB Tua had this #2 DVOA offense in '23 drop & B/R ranks them 18th for '25. Losing WR Hill & OT stud Armstead are devastating & their o-line additions are questionable for this PFF 25th ranked unit. Outside of a few front-7 pieces & over priced S Fitzpatrick the B/R 21st ranked D lacks CB talent given starter departures. Coach McDaniel might not be the guru we thought. Their 6-3 2024 finish looks good but 5 of those wins were against the NFL's worst teams.

2025 Power Rank: 30th    2024 DVOA: 23rd    2025 Schedule: 16th

The Jets add new Coach Glenn and QB Fields which does not inspire faith here. While PFF likes the o-line they rank #9, B/R ranks their offense #29 & their defense #22. The D has some fron-7 pieces with MacDonald, Johnson & the Q. Williams duo but CB Gardner regressed in '24. This is a hard team to handicap as beyond the o-line & WR Wilson there are plenty of holes where our 20th ranked offseason doesn't help. We graded them "D" in free agency & "B" in the Draft.
