Coach Ryans 3 consecutive 10+ win seasons impresses. The D is top end & getting a healthy receiving unit will be huge. But Stroud, 19th in YPG & 11th/17th in pass ratings, continues to baffle with inconsistency & poor playoff play. Their bottom 4 O-Line doesn't help but perhaps free agents G Teller and RT Smith are the answer to help new power RB Montgomery. To their credit they were 6th in point differential and 4th in DVOA, signifying efficient play. We see them 11-6 & reclaiming the division crown despite the leagues 7th toughest schedule.

We predicted the '25 division championship under Cohen & the improvement in Lawrence. Our prediction for an improved run game didn't happen, but the defense was great at #5 in PPG & paced them to a 4th best point differential, 6th in DVOA & the 13-4 surprise record. We think they step back some in record & the 6-3 in 1-score games. We did not approve of the draft day trade for WR/CB Hunter who was injured, but maybe he excels now that they are focusing him on one position, CB. The run game without star Etienne should struggle.   

2026 Power Rank: 22th     2025 DVOA: 5th    2026 Schedule: 9th    2026 O-Line: 6th   Offseason: 27th

The QB Richardson experiment is over as Jones, when healthy, was MVP caliber starting 7-2 while 8th in QBR, 9th in RTG. After losing  Ryan/Fries before last year, the O-Line still ranks high at #6 for '26. Explosive, reliable RB Taylor was 3rd in rushing in '25 so this offense can be very good. Rookie TE Warren was spectacular, 76 catches, 817 yards. The defense is regressing ranking in the low 20's. The Colts are Steeler-esque winning 8 or 9 the last 3 seasons. We think a healthy Jones & improved defense puts the Colts in the Wild Card picture.

We like the coaching upgrades to Saleh & QB guru OC Daboll who should be able to accelerate the development of ascending QB Ward. The Titans spend loads of cash in free agency including overpaying for Giants WR Robinson/CB Flott, albeit nabbing quality DT Franklin-Myers to join resigned stud vet DT Simmons. But this is one of the worst rosters in the NFL which scored a DVOA efficiency grade ranked 29th in '25. Saleh is an excellent defensive mastermind, even elevating the lowly Jets when there. We are optimistic, but for '27 & beyond.
