Division Winner

Jacksonville - 9-8

2025 Power Rank: 24th    2024 DVOA: 26th    2025 Schedule: 6th

The Jags sputtered early at 2-10 but played 1-score games in the last 6. New Coach Cohen raised Mayfield's game in Tampa & QB Lawrence needs a change. Despite mediocre offseason grades Cohen, a run game master, upgraded the weak o-line and drafted WR Hunter to compliment Thomas, Jr. who was arguably the top '24 rookie WR in a great class. The B/R 27th defense for '25 needs help & didn't get much this offseason. We see an upset where they beat out the Texans though.

2nd Place Finish

Houston 9-8

2025 Power Rank: 14th    2024 DVOA: 16th    2025 Schedule: 25th

Coach Ryans has back-to-back 10-win seasons & division crowns. But their zero +/- points gives pause. The top-3 defense is excellent & will be great again. QB Stroud regressed in his 2nd season where they finished 19th in scoring. The o-line (27th in '24) is ranked dead last in '25 after losing studs T Tunsil & G Mason.  WR Dell working back from injury is a key since Diggs departed though Collins has developed into a top 10 NFL WR. Jaguars surprise with 6th easiest schedule vs Texans 25th.

3rd Place Finish

Indianapolis - 7-10

2025 Power Rank: 26th    2024 DVOA: 19th    2025 Schedule: 12th

Rookie QB Richardson is a bust & we see F/A Jones taking over early. A decent o-line lost Ryan/Fries but still sports a PFF #5 line sporting a top left side with Raimann/Nelson which is good news for star RB Taylor. #1 pick TE Warren is a good add to no-name but decent WR's. Their #26 ranked defense (PFF) for '25 is thin outside of lineman Buckner. We see them about the same as their 9 & 8 win last 2 seasons. The NFL is tough without a decent QB.

Helmet Tennessee.jpg

4th Place Finish

Tennessee 5-12

2025 Power Rank: 31st    2024 DVOA: 31st    2025 Schedule: 8th

Coach Callahan gets some decent new talent for his 3-14 '24 squad.  While we graded them "D+" for the mediocre, 2nd tier talent free agent haul, but their draft graded out "B+" with 7 picks to bolster their 27th ranked offense in '24. #1 pick QB Ward is a refreshing reboot to Levis. The o-line was horrific & gets a makeover.  We see little improvement for the no-name 30th ranked '24 defense. The offense will be considerably better & the 8th easiest schedule helps, but even in the weakest division in football we are pessimistic.
